3 and 2 seater sofa
MEET HARPER – OUR FRENCH CONNECTION INSPIRED SOFA!
If you are here, you probably went gaga over the French Connection sofa over at DFS. Called the Zinc, the sofa is expansive and with a cool and relaxed style. But, if you can’t quite afford the £899 price tag to have the Zinc delivered to your home, we might have the next best thing.
HARPER: FRENCH CONNECTION INSPIRED 3 SEATER SOFA
Just like the Zinc, our Harper 3 seater sofa features a simplistic but relaxed form of styling. A clean straight-lined plinth base that smartly lets two thick foam block cushions rest upon it. The sofa then takes form just like the Zinc, giving away to angled armrests that then transition into high back rests. There are some obvious differences though. In the Zinc, the armrests extend away from the sofa’s frame, giving it a generous seating area that can comfortably sit 4 adults. But, this aesthetically pleasing feature actually could be annoying when you begin to use the sofa. Prepare to spend a few frantic minutes searching for your remote control or phone as they slip down the awkward gap between armrests and seat cushions.
In the Harper, the arm rests sneak into the seating area, giving the sofa a more snug, compact and chic look. The stylistic difference however doesn’t prevent the Harper from comfortably seating 3 adults though. The differences in style reflect on the width of the sofa. The Zinc is 227 cm wide whereas the Harper is only 195 cm wide. But again, this might be a good thing for you if your living room or conservatory is a tad on the smaller side.
Another notable difference is the scatter cushions you see on the Zinc. But, please bear in mind that those scatter cushions are not included with the purchase of the Zinc at DFS. You will have to procure them at an extra cost that will drive up the cost of the French Connection sofa more. You do get the bolster cushions you see in the picture though. The Harper doesn’t come with scatter back cushions. But, the flared high-back fiber-filled backrests will give you nothing to complain about.
With the Zinc, only the fabric version sells for £899. Pick the velvet upholstery option and the price quickly jumps to £1,199. The Harper is draped in a luxurious feeling velvet fabric, but with a very modest price tag of just £395. Our velvet fabric is not just soft and opulent, but also coated with a hydrophobic layer that will prevent spills from seeping in. Be it wine, water or even coffee, the spill will just collect on the Harper’s cushions, allowing you to wipe them away before it’s too late.
HARPER – AN AFFORDABLE FRENCH CONNECTION SOFA WITH MANY GREAT FEATURES!
