WHAT IS A LAWSON SOFA?

The Lawson sofa is named after Thomas Lawson. He was a financier of repute, during the late 20^th century Victorian era.  Lawson didn’t care for the overly ornate furniture of his times. He instead wanted a simpler sofa that borrowed some of the elegance, but without the fussy flamboyance of furniture made during the Victorian era. Thus was born the Lawson sofa. What perhaps singlehandedly separates the Lawson sofa from most other sofa styles is the fact that the back pillows are separated from the frame. This allows for rather oversized back cushions to be used, enabling a sumptuously comfortable sit.

With a width of 215 cm, this 3 seater Lawson sofa can easily seat three adults. But, it isn’t intrusively expansive with its footprint either. Can be a great fit even in a medium or even a relatively small living room.
